The 340 Odyssey: Built for Offshore Fishing Without Limits

When you spend enough time chasing fish across open waters, you start to realize that not all boats are created equal. Some are built for calm lakes, some for short day trips. But every now and then, a vessel comes along that’s built to do it all — and then some. That’s exactly what Weldcraft had in mind with the launch of the new 340 Odyssey: the largest, most capable model in our fleet, designed from the ground up for serious anglers and offshore adventurers who aren’t interested in limits.

Built for Big Water and Bigger Goals

At 37 feet 1 inch long and 11 feet wide, the 340 Odyssey is a serious offshore platform built to handle rough seas, heavy loads, and long trips without missing a beat. But size alone doesn’t make a great fishing boat. Weldcraft designed the Odyssey with a walk-around cabin that gives you full perimeter access, opening all the gunwale surfaces for setting gear, or just moving around the boat safely.

From the heavy-duty twin offshore bracket to the full-width tread plate swim platform, every part of this boat is about function and durability. With a dry weight of 11,800 pounds and a max displacement of 19,000 pounds, you can load it up with plenty of people, tackle, ice, and gear.

 Serious Power, Seamless Control

The 340 Odyssey is powered by Yamaha engines either in a twin 350 or 450 HP configuration. Integrated systems like HelmMaster electronic steering and the ZipWake automatic trim control make handling a boat this size surprisingly easy, whether you’re threading your way through a marina or throttling up into open water.

Navigation and fishfinding come easy, too. The Odyssey ships standard with a Garmin GPSMAP 8616xsv 16-inch multifunction display, paired with powerful transducers and a digital switching backbone that makes managing your electronics as simple as tapping a screen.

Comfort That Works as Hard as You Do

Long days on the water demand more than just a tough hull. Weldcraft loaded the Odyssey with thoughtful touches that make every trip more comfortable without sacrificing utility. In the main cabin, you’ll find flip-up bolster suspension seats at both helms, four bench seats with storage, and plenty of space to stow rods, tackle, and personal gear.

Down below, the cuddy cabin offers a sleeping berth, an electric flush head with a six-gallon holding tank, a freshwater sink, and extra storage compartments. It’s the kind of setup that lets you turn a long day into an overnight run — or just catch a nap between bites when the offshore bite is hot.

Lighting, climate control, and seating can all be upgraded, too. Options like heated seats, a Wallas diesel heater, and full curtain packages mean you can outfit the Odyssey to handle any season.

Fish Harder, Run Farther

Every inch of the 340 Odyssey was designed with serious fishing in mind. Dual 73-gallon insulated subfloor fish boxes, a 37-gallon livewell at the transom, self-draining decks, and rugged UV-resistant composite flooring all come standard. Overhead, a heavy-duty rod rack holds up to 37 rods — because you can never have too many setups ready when the bite turns on.

The Odyssey’s full reverse chine bottom and aggressive bow entry ensure a smooth, stable ride, even when the water isn’t playing nice. And if you really want to take things up a notch, options like a Seakeeper2 gyro stabilizer, dual Garmin radar packages, and an onboard rigging station with fridge and sink are all available to turn your Odyssey into the ultimate big-water machine.

A Flagship Built for Serious Anglers

The Weldcraft 340 Odyssey isn’t just a bigger boat — it’s a better boat, designed for anglers who don’t just fish weekends, but plan their lives around tides, runs, and seasons. It’s for the offshore warriors who are willing to run farther, stay out longer, and fish harder.

If that sounds like you, it might be time to step up to the 340 Odyssey.
Because when the water gets bigger, the fish get bigger — and you’ll want a boat that’s ready for both.
